Update From Our First Public Meeting

Harefield First would like to say a very big thank you to all of the concerned residents, who turned out in their hundreds, at our public meeting at the Ex Servicemen’s club on Tuesday 28th June, where a presentation was given regarding the inappropriate development at Widewater Business Park at Moorhall Road, Harefield.

Of course, a very well done to our team who gave a very professional and comprehensive presentation to concerned Harefield and Denham residents who attended, a presentation as to where we are with our campaign of opposition to this inappropriate development.  Included in the presentation were video clips made by Hujjat of what their intentions were for our village.   The packed audience were left in stunned silence as to what Hujjat admitted on their videos that they have made.   (When we met representatives of Hujjat they said that they were not responsible for this video, but admitted it was their ruling Executive that had done this!)  The presentation also included some obstacles that had been put in our way by some groups, but were fortunately overcome, to allow people to have the freedom of information and the right to an opinion and free speech, which should be afforded to all in a civilised democracy.   Harefield First have achieved this by delivering this to our residents.

After the presentation and the question and answer session which ensued, the meeting was concluded with a way forward. This led to a spontaneous, rapturous round of applause, much hand shaking, and well done all round, which led to some very generous donations to Harefield First’s campaign.

We congratulate our very professional presentation team, and the hard work that Harefield First have done, and of course, to all the residents who attended and gave so generously to our campaign.  Many thanks.
