Harefield First Community Group has been formed by Harefield residents to protect and preserve our way of life in this unique and historic village of ours. The group intends to monitor and object to any inappropriate developments that will compromise and/or change our unique historic village, which is London’s last village surrounded by greenery.
We believe this is worth preserving and the entire area should be put into a conservation/protected plan to secure our greenbelt and precious ancient buildings.
We are appalled at the damage and destruction of the Colne valley greenbelt and the destruction of buildings whose families go back generations, by the much maligned and unnecessary HS2. A railway no-one needs or wants.
We are currently objecting to and fighting against a totally inappropriate development at Widewater Place, Moorhall Road. This attempted invasion/influx of 6,000 people into our village by Hujatt Stanmore (as admitted by themselves), who want a village within a village for exclusive use by themselves, bringing untold disruption to our unique village and our way of life. The impact of this proposed inappropriate development will be devastating.
Harefield First actively opposed the boundary changes, which split Harefield into two council wards: Ickenham & South Harefield and Harefield Village. Despite numerous objections to this, it still went ahead. We totally object and disagree with any plans that would split our unique way of life in Harefield and would seek to revert this splitting of our community.
Harefield First loves Harefield and its way of life and intends to fight to preserve our village and its land against any damaging inappropriate plans that attempt to change that.
Harefield First has no political affiliations.
